New Product: L'Oreal Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair 24HR Eye Repair Duo

Hi everybody,

Recently, I got an opportunity to try L'Oreal Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair 24HR Eye Repair Duo. Wait, are you still there? The title is so long that I thought it belong to somebody's thesis or dissertation. This eye cream duo is a new product from L'Oreal that came out recently. It is targeted to people who have severe wrinkles, which I am not. However, an eye cream is an eye cream and I am looking for something I can use that does not sprout some new styles on my eyelids.

L'Oreal Revitalift Deep-Set Wrinkle Repair 24 HR Eye Repair Duo

It contains two eye creams attached together

First of all, I love the clever design of this eye cream duo. It's like you get to sample 2 creams at once! Each end contains 0.2 oz of cream, which totals to 0.4 oz of material. For reference, an eye cream out there usually contains 0.5 oz.

The AM Eye Cream

This eye cream contains a mix of chemical sunscreen that gives an SPF 15 sun protection. It feels like lotion and absorb quite fast. However, it tends to migrate to my eyes as well. And you know how much your sunscreen can sting.

Here are the pros and cons:
  • Pros: contains sunscreen, does not smell, absorbs fast;
  • Cons: stings my eyes, makes my eye shadows slide.

The PM Eye Cream

While the AM eye cream did not get a lot of love from me since it stung my eyes while I drove, this PM eye cream is pure bliss. It is fast absorb and I do notice a very subtle change of skin texture around the eyes. This eye cream also contains Pro-Retinol A, which is a weaker version of retinol. Usually, applying retinol around the eyes can cause irritation but I did not feel anything when using the PM cream.

Here are the pros and cons:
  • Pros: absorbs fast, contains retinol, skin feels nice in the morning;
  • Cons: nothing I can think of.
Overall, I am quite happy with this eye cream duo. It reminds me of the Mark Hook Ups that I used to love. If I were to buy this product again, I would only get the night cream (and I hope they have it out there all by itself.)

Price: $19.99 at drugstores and mass-market stores
My rating: A+ for the night cream and B- for the day cream.

That's all, folks! I hope you're having a good time. I really look forward to reading your comments. Come on, show your girl some love!

  1. I currently use a Retinol-based eye cream (RoC Multi-correxion eye treatment) but I haven't noticed any difference in my eye area :( . I may check this one if it arrives here. I like the day/night concept!

  2. Hi Eru,

    RoC is great and has more retinol than this so I guess this product won't cause you any problem. I enjoy the night cream a lot!

  3. I like the idea of an eye cream duo and the night cream sounds good. Too bad the day cream stings your eyes and intereferes with eyeshadow application or I would have given it a try.

  4. Hi Gio,

    Although the day cream does not do much for me, I love the night cream a lot. I may see if they sell it separately, then you can try just the night cream.
